It's been quite a period of time since I had such a packed holiday.
It was kinda disappointing for Grand Prix: Singapore. I did average, going 4 win 4 lose - bad deck choice and opponent's good draws. At the very least, it was quite a fun experience - saw the forumers for the first time, met up with old friends and made new ones.
I was paired against players from all over globe - thankfully, no obnoxious ones. Had a difficult time with Hongkongers due to their native language being Cantonese. Well, I can speak coherent Mandarin, but Cantonese on the other hand...
Well, sign language works for both parties though. That was how a friend interacted with a Japanese player. Ever witness a Japanese casting Cabal Therapy on a Hong Konger? ZOMG LOLOLOL
Anyway, Japanese guy aren't as good looking as I imagined. Though, there was two good looking Japanese at the scene. Mmm... (uhh, nvm.)
As expected, after the dust have settled, there were no Singaporeans in the top 8. In the end, the French took the cup home.
Anyway, congratulation to two friends who walked off a thousand dollars richer.
As for me, I top 8-ed a small legacy event on day 2 and won sixty dollars. Not that bad, but it could have been better.
Right after my event, I headed straight to my class chalet, in which, I will blog about in the next post.
