Recently, I had a few games of Dota. It's been months since I touched it...against human players that is.
I realized my skills in Dota drop by 25percent when I play on team Scourge. That's because I am so darn bloody used to playing on team Sentinel.
People often ask who is the best character. There is no definite answer for this question, but the 'best' in my opinion is Rhasta. He's a farmer, hero-killer, and team supporter rolled into one malnourished troll frame. Fork lightning deals 300 damage to 7 targets, shackles allows 5 seconds of bashing your opponent by your teammates, voodoo is annoyingly gay, and serpent wards absolutely wrecks opponents and planting one at his base is simply destructive. I would train my Rhasta if not for my lousy skills in using voodoo.

Here's another 'best' character that is often overlooked by many players. Purist thunderwrath. He was freaking strong in 5.84 versions, just that he was overshadowed by bone fletcher and Medusa.

Too bad, there aren't many players skilled in Purist thunderwrath. (Thank God)
He is extremely hard-to-kill. Purist's first skill heals 360hp and deals 360 area damage. That's like a net swing of around 700hp between you and your opponents! The right way to use it is to farm and heal at the same time, not anytime you want, and it drives nukers nuts. Repels gives magic immunity for 20 seconds, ample time to escape a gangbang, a spell-combo character, or owning a spell-based hero. I love the third skill, degeneration aura. In the past, degen aura reduces 40% of your opponent's move speed. Combined with Mask of madness, many people have quit the game due to a rabid, relentless hard-hitting paladin that moves at a terrifying speed. Unless you're banehallow in wolf form, you might as well resign to your fate. It's been nerfed to 28% thankfully, and it's still potent when combine with Sange&Yasha. Whether it's chasing down your enemy, or running like a pussy, degen aura rocks. I don't really like the ultimate, but it's also annoying. It gives 9 seconds of physical immunity. With repel, you're basically god-like...for 9 seconds. And 9 seconds is enough to mop up most enemies, unless you're fighting Syllabear who deserves a whole strategy guide by me. Why nobody likes Syllabear? Why nobody believes me when I say he's good? Am I the only person who came up with an good item build for him? Anyway back to Purist, his ultimate boost your teammates immune system too! Some players even buy a refresher orb to wreck their opponent's base with five physical-immune heroes for 18 seconds. Last words, Purist is bloody annoying.
Oh well, I guess I'll just stick to using Dwarven sniper and Crystal maiden. Trying to play Naix more often, if not for those annoying nukers. Two nukes = dead Naix. Hand of midas is teh t3cH.
