Confirmation for Sec 3 | Sunday, November 06, 2005

Things I don't like about wearing formal are...

1)It is very hot.

2)Everyone ask you where are you going.

3)Strangers all around keep looking/staring at me(especially females) I know it is a compliment but it does make me feel uneasy. This is the price I have to pay for such looks *ahem*

I don't like Jacob(altar boy) too...

Today was a very special for St Francis of Assisi; 57 students were confirmed! Confirmation is the third sacrament, when the youths receive the Holy Spirit. Now, they are considered as adult catholics from the Church's point of view.
(But from my point of view...I think not.)

I embarrassed myself in front of Beatrice's auntie.*chagrin*
Hope Alyssa Marian didnt catch any of that scene. (Beatrice and Alyssa are my kawaii students *cough cough*)

Oh, I forgot to mention. I was supposed to be the bodyguard of ArchBishop Nicolas Chia.

To my surprise, the ArchBishop was a very friendly man! *friendlier than I thought*
He was very polite and asked me questions about my ministry in St Francis. He told me to keep up the good work and a few more praises. While talking to me, He gripped my bicep for some reason. I don't know but it kinda made me feel good.
*I know many girls wanted to do this too*
The Archbishop seemed geniunely concerned. So happy ^__^. He didnt have a pompous air around him and treated everyone almost as equals or perhaps even equals.
The servant of servents!

During his mealtime, he offered me a chance to sit with him; which I was flattered but I politely decline. The chance was given to the secondary 3 teachers and for some reason, Wen Ning was skittish when she sat at his table. Moses and I took a photo with His Grace. Did i mention His Grace was very friendly? He went around the canteen shaking hands and taking pictures with his sheeps. From what I heard, He never rejected a photo request. I am very inspired by this act. When I am famous next time, I am going to shake hands with all my fans, take pictures with them, sign autographs, add them on my friendster and Msn...blah blah blah...Ok nvm.

Soon, it was time for him to leave and we sent him off. He gave us each a card from Rome and if we like; we could visit him in Church of the Good Shepherd. Wahh!
Thanks to Tommy for giving me this great opportunity to service such a great man.

Afterwards, the catechists and one student spend our time bullying Isaac......verbally.

End notes:

Indeed, this day was very well-spent.
On the way to the bustop, Moses and I heard a female voice calling out my name.
Clement: *turn around* Eh? Nobody there leh...
Argh wtf...Does my charm extend to even of those of the netherworld?
